Promotional Text for Emails & Newsletters: On March 8, FaithJam ’07 will be bringing together the sounds and cultures of our world. At 7:30 PM, from the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center in Little Tokyo, bands as diverse as multi-platinum Muslim band Junoon, Israeli rockers missFlag, the Taiko-drumming On Ensemble, and the COR AME Gospel Choir, will take the same stage, in a unified show of spiritual connections. The concert is free to the public, with advance reservations (visit www.FaithJam07.com to register). The evening is not only a celebration of spiritual and musical solidarity, but also a call to action towards combating the genocide in Darfur. “Now more than ever, we need events that bring together people of all faiths, break barriers, and confront the divisions between people,” says Craig Taubman, the event’s producer. “We expect FaithJam to bridge those barriers and inspire people to act.” We invite you to join the more than 30 local, regional, and national organizations and congregations that have united to cosponsor this amazing event. |
